Marko has been interested in Korean culture since he was a kid. Cartoons like 스피드왕 번개 (Wings of Dragon), 레스톨 특수 구조대 (RESTOL, full armed rescue squad), and 녹색전차 해모수 (Hamos: The Green Chariot) were his first introduction to Korean culture. However, living in a country so far away from South Korea and also having limited access to the internet stumped the growth of that passion.

Fortunately, in 2010, when he listened to a song from the group Brown Eyed Girls he once again started to indulge in it. From history and filmography to sports and manhwa, he continuously strived to learn more about South Korea. That's why he started learning the Korean language in 2021.

At the end of 2023, Marko got a unique opportunity to be a part of a project called Korea-Serbia Next Generation Policy Experts Network: Building Bridges Between Belgrade and Seoul organized by the Center for Social Dialogue and Regional Initiatives and The Korea Foundation. The project's goal was to strengthen the political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries by providing additional education and training to future decision-makers about the Republic of Korea and Serbian-Korean relations.

After months of educational classes held by some highly respected Korean and Serbian professors, the members of this Youth Network got the task of writing a policy brief. Marko and two of his colleagues wrote one with the name  Exploring the Strategic Advantages of Adopting Samsung’s Business Model in Serbian Companies. You can read this policy brief HERE.
